The
green-season has their own beauty and specialy the rivers bring a lot of fresh water
and fun to explore. I have the pleasure to live by the Rio Lajas in Cabuya and
would like to share this magical place with you.
The little bus that runs
between Cabuya and Montezuma can take you to the bridge of the river. Before
the bridge, on the left site, a small walkway will bring you to the beach.
Between the bridge and the beach you will find small waterfalls and pools, they
form perfect natural whirl-pools. The surrounding is very wooded and you can
observe birds in all sizes and colors. It´s really a piece of paradise.
In the
dry-season the river turns to be a great hiking trail, after a 1 and 1/2 hours
hike river-up you will come to a bigger waterfall and on your way you will see
a lot of wild-live away from any touristy roads.
