Tajalin Season

The rainy season is here, and with it comes a flurry of activity from our little friends, the Tajalin!  These colourful crabs come out of their mountain homes and head to the beach to lay their eggs.  Hundreds of these little guys crawl down the hill of Hotel Luna Llena brightening up our walkways and stairs.  Watch your step!

We are now so happy to offer our own snorkel gear for rent here at Luna Llena!  Come and discover the clear water at Playa Las Manchas or make your own snorkel adventure around Cabuya Cemetery Island.  Amazing schools of fish and so much more to see right here in the Montezuma area.  $15 for a full day rental (8am to 6pm).  Come and see us to make your own snorkelling adventure!!

Three Wattled Bell Bird at Luna Llena!

This beautiful and incredibly loud singing bird has been visiting us every day for the last little while.  It seems to love our Ylang Ylang trees as much as we do.  Another lovely guest at our hotel, we are so lucky!  Pura Vida

Happy New Year! Feliz Año Nuevo!

Happy New Year from Everyone at Hotel Luna Llena!
We celebrated together at the hotel to ring in the new year and wish Benji a very happy birthday.  We all enjoyed a beautiful bonfire on the beach with fireworks to welcome in the new year.  We hope you had a great new year's eve.  We wish all our friends and guests good health, happiness and peace for 2014!
