Dear Guests!                                                                                                                 

We hope you are all happy, healthy, safe and peaceful in these days!  Montezuma got the first rains and in only three days everything turned into green and beautiful again. All kinds of insects come back to life, ants get wings and fly around, the “Tajalines”( colorful crabs) are moving on the ground and up the walls, it is an explosion of nature, very powerful and unique.

The high-season came down, but there are still a lot of very interesting travelers finding their way to Montezuma and Luna Llena. To all this great people we offer low-season rates now!

We are busy to remodel some of the rooms, cleaning and fixing all what needs  taken care off.

Thank you all for visiting us in the last month, we hope to see most of you again...

Rio Lajas

Dear Guests!

The green-season has their own beauty and specialy the rivers bring a lot of fresh water and fun to explore. I have the pleasure to live by the Rio Lajas in Cabuya and would like to share this magical place with you. 

The little bus that runs between Cabuya and Montezuma can take you to the bridge of the river. Before the bridge, on the left site, a small walkway will bring you to the beach. Between the bridge and the beach you will find small waterfalls and pools, they form perfect natural whirl-pools. The surrounding is very wooded and you can observe birds in all sizes and colors. It´s really a piece of paradise.

In the dry-season the river turns to be a great hiking trail, after a 1 and 1/2 hours hike river-up you will come to a bigger waterfall and on your way you will see a lot of wild-live away from any touristy roads.

Please come and enjoy one of the our secret places on the south-tip of Peninsula Nicoya!

Thursday night BBQ! - ¡Asado de los jueves a la noche!

Every Thursday night at HOTEL LUNA LLENA, you can enjoy a delicious Argentinian Style BBQ, prepared by our 2 private chefs.

The menu includes diferent local cuts of meat with a side of "Criolla Salad", homemade bread and a glass of wine. All this in our marvelous deck, with a magnificient view and in an splendid atmosphere.

We also offer a vegetarian option with zucchinis and eggplants "a la papillón".

The cost of the menu is $15. Vegetarian option $12. Children under 10 $10.
